Ready to become part of Vivarium?

Usually, we are fully-booked 2 months in advance. We recommend you book with enough time to secure your spot and be able to choose the room you like the most.

If we are fully booked when you send your request, we will add you to our waiting list and reach out to you in case there are any cancelations.

After we receive your booking request we will reach out to you personally to answer any questions, make sure there's a good match, and confirm the availability.

Once we are all ready to move forward, we will send you the details for you to make an initial payment (deposit) and secure your spot.

We want to foster meaningful connections, and that requires time.

So we have a minimum stay of 1 month. Although in some very exceptional cases, we can be a bit flexible. Talk to us if your case applies to consider a shorter stay ;)

The average stay in the community is between 1,5 to 3 months!.

We have 24 rooms divided in 3 independent floors and a capacity for up to 35 people.

You will have the opportunity to meet plenty of people, although the people that are living with you are typically the ones you end up calling “family”.

You will meet very talented professionals who up until now happened to also be very nice human beings.

We have welcomed people at a moment of change that realized their new path while being here, entrepreneurs that decided to start their company in Valencia, freelancers that came to explore the city and connected with new clients, creatives that found new inspiration for their art, corporate rebels that wrote their first book between these walls, artisans that work with their hands, creative programmers who love dancing…

People coming from all corners of life, who want to connect meaningfully with others, grow together, and immerse themselves in the city.

The average age in Vivarium is around 30 years old.

We have had members in the community from 22 to 65 years old and everyone is welcome as long as there is alignment with the values of the community.

However, if you are wondering if this is a student flat with parties going on every week, the answer is no! The parties we like are the ones in which we gather around the table with a glass of wine and a good conversation.

Our approach is very organic and co-created, so it can vary a lot from one week to the next and from one group to the other.

Having said that, we have some weekly events, like the Community Sessions and the Family Dinners (where most of the magic happens!).

It’s also very common that colivers propose different activities, like workshops to share their skills, day hikes, concerts, dance classes, etc. and we always share recommendations about interesting events happening in Valencia.

By joining, you are encouraged to get actively involved in the community and share proposals with the group. We will always be there to facilitate the process, support you in your proposals, and nurture the community.

When booking we ask for an initial payment to secure your reservation.

If for any reason you need to cancel, you will get a full refund (minus transfer costs) as long as you let us know at least 30 days in advance. Send us a message to see our full terms and conditions.

If you would like to come to Vivarium but currently can not afford to book a room with us, send us a message with your story, your CV with indicators of how can you help us and we can explore some options. Occasionally we are open to an exchange of services, or offer volunteering opportunities. Don’t be afraid to pitch us your idea!
